With holiday parties and Thanksgiving dinners come autumn cocktails. Two years ago, it was Spiked & Spiced Apple Cider. Last year, apple cider sangria. Not wanting to do apple three times in a row, my mind immediately went to pumpkin. Pumpkin pie, specifically. Feeling creative, I decided to forego a recipe and trust my taste buds. The end result, as The Missus described it, is Thanksgiving in a glass. I hope you enjoy it.
Ingredients
- 1/2 oz. pumpkin butter
- 1/2 oz. maple syrup +/- to taste
- 1/4 oz. cinnamon whiskey
- 2 oz. vodka
Servings: glass
Instructions
- In a mixing glass, combine pumpkin butter and maple syrup, stirring until combined.
- Add spirits and ice, stirring vigorously for 20-30 seconds
- Pour into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish appropriately and enjoy.
